This is an ID we pitched to HBO MAX Originals at BigStar. This was a very intense and rewarding pitch process and I was thrilled to have been a part of it. For this concept I was tasked with creating a particle simulation that would behave like grains of sand and fall back into space and form the pixels of the MAX ORIGINALS logo. I decided to use the grain solver in Houdini to create the main animation and use a rest attribute to create the pixel perfect resolve. With over 20 million particles and more than 25 revisions this project was an absolute beast
