LOST GOLD OF WORLD WAR II

Lost Gold is a limited series by History that I got to work on as a technical director at BigStar. This project presented us with a really unique technical challenge that BigStar had never faced before. The client provided us with a series of lidar scan files that they had captured on location. I developed a pipeline for processing the lidar files into a point cloud format that Houdini could read. Inside Houdini I was able to mesh the point cloud and export it as OBJ geometry. The rest of the workflow was carried out in Cinema 4D meticulously creating forest materials and 3D mograph animations. I rendered this project in Redshift and comped in 3D graphics with After Effects.
