The reboot of Unsolved Mysteries was an incredible opportunity to bring back some vintage 90s style for a an iconic TV show. We really wanted to capture the eyrie feeling of the original show but update it to the modern age without losing the charm that makes Unsolved Mysteries what it is. I animated many of the shots in this open using various techniques in After effects and Cinema 4D such as camera projection, 2.5D animation and selective double exposure. I am thrilled with how this turned out in the end and am so excited to see how successful it has become on netflix.
