I worked with BigStar on this one to create this epic ensemble of characters posed at the gates of their lovely community. I designed the environment for this one in Cinema 4D and then began the process of keying out the background for each character and then placing them into the 3D environment. The main character however was not placed into the 3D environment, instead he was filmed with the actual camera move on set. We ended up tracking that move and using it to create our 3D camera that would drive the rest of the scene.
